It has a permanent free plan (2,000 contacts, 3 funnels and 1 course) and paid plans from 17 USD a month according to its official page. It is useful for validating an idea with little technical knowledge; to scale, it usually falls short.
Today I want to talk to you about a tool that makes a lot of noise in digital marketing: Systeme.io. If you have wondered what it is and what it is for, this article is for you. I give you my honest reading, from the experience of testing it against others like Hotmart, WordPress or Mailchimp.
Spoiler alert: it is a short review.
What is Systeme.io?
It is an all-in-one platform to do marketing from a single place. Its pitch, in its own words: all the tools you need, in one package, without integrating other software.
- Sales funnels with opt-in and sales pages.
- Email and automated sequences.
- Courses and memberships with unlimited students.
- A blog and simple web pages.
- A built-in affiliate program.
Something that surprised us at On Viral Agency was that its Spanish version translates funnels as “túneles”, tunnels. And yes: when they say tunnels, they mean tunnels. The freedom to filter prospects inside the tool is limited.

All plans include unlimited emails, unlimited students, 0 % transaction commission and online support. Annual billing gives two months free. The free plan does not expire or ask for a card, although the official help warns that an account inactive for six months may lose content.
One change from 2024: back then, paying was required to use your own domain. Today the free plan includes a custom domain.
What it does well
- Selling digital and physical products with upsells is well solved: guiding a prospect to an additional offer is a smooth experience.
- Affiliates and memberships with access based on the tags you assign.
- An entry cost close to zero to test an idea.
Where it falls short
We observed this when we tested it in 2024. Check on the platform whether it is still the case:
- Forms did not allow filtering questions to screen out people you do not want as customers, so that job falls to your ads and your copy.
- Advanced sender customization in emails was not available on the free plan.
- Web and sales pages are basic, with little design freedom, and integrations with other tools are limited.
Who is it really for?
For people with little technical knowledge who want to validate an idea: a membership community, a digital product, a funnel with affiliates. Validating is not the same as implementing and scaling. If your business grows, the usual move is to migrate to a platform with more control.
Two free alternatives for those later stages: Hotmart to publish digital products and test affiliates, and WordPress with a membership plugin like Paid Memberships Pro for a subscription site. My recommendation
